NAHANT – Chief Timothy Furlong shares that the Nahant Police Department is holding a “Stuff a Cruiser” event to support the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn’s 2022 Toy Drive, and is asking the community to contribute.

The Department has parked a cruiser in front of the station, and asks residents to stuff it with new, unwrapped toys. Gift ideas include puzzles and board games; Lego sets, Manga Tiles and slime kits; art sets and painting or sketch books; and sporting goods.

The Club serves more than 1,500 youth ages 5-18 from Lynn, Nahant, and surrounding communities. The Club focuses on five areas: education and career development; character and leadership development; health and life skills; the arts; and sports, fitness and recreation activities. It offers programming for children ages 5-13, a Teen Center, and after-school drop-in program, and a summer camp program at Camp Creighton in Middleton.

Chief Furlong and Department members request those interested in participating bring a donation to the station by Dec. 16.
